COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: GENTILE NETS 15, FLIRTS WITH TRIPLE-DOUBLE AS EDINBORO OPENS NCAA TOURNEY WITH WIN (2025-03-14)

EDINBORO — Elmira graduate Morgan Gentile had 15 points as the Edinboro women’s basketball team won their Division II NCAA Tournament opener over Virginia State 80-68 on Friday.

Edinboro picked up the win in the NCAA Atlantic Regional on their home floor as Gentile had 15 points.

Gentile also had a team-best seven assists and added eight rebounds. She was 4-for-5 from the foul line and hit a three in the game.

Edinboro takes on fellow PSAC foe IUP in the regional semifinals at first:30 p.m. Saturday.
