SECTION 4 BOYS' BOWLING: EDISON'S CROWN, HORSEHEADS TRIO ALL MAKE STATES (8 PHOTOS) (2025-02-27)

WAVERLY — Edison’s Zack Crown, and three Horseheads bowlers all made states in the individual portion of the Section IV boys’ bowling state qualifier on Thursday at the Valley Bowling Center.

Crown made states in Division II, shooting the second highest series of the day in the individual competition between Division I and II and shooting over 700 both series on Thursday.

States is based on six games Thursday along with the three games from sectionals.

Crown had a 605 from sectionals. He then shot 215-299-213-727 in the morning, posting the day’s highest game, and he shot 257-227-217-701 in the afternoon for a total of 2,033.

Horseheads had Noah Cody, Michael Rennells and Cayden Bowman all make states.

Cody had the second highest series of any of the individuals, shooting 701 at sectionals and 202-244-221-667 and then 239-243-230-712 on Thursday.

Rennells had a 658 at sectionals then shot 215-234-153-602 and 258-219-179-656 on Thursday for a 1,916.

Bowman had a 713 at sectionals and shot 247-173-159-579 and 233-156-226-615 on Thursday for a 1,907 series.
