COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: ELMIRA GRAD GENTILE SCORES 1,000TH CAREER POINT FOR EDINBORO (2025-02-26)

EDINBORO, PA. — Elmira graduate Morgan Gentile scored her 1,000th career point for the Edinboro women’s basketball team as they beat Slippery Rock 65-44 on Wednesday night.

The Elmira grad needed just one point to reach the milestone and she scored it on a free throw, the first point of the game, at the 8:29 mark of the first quarter.

Gentile had 10 points in the Edinboro win.

The milestone comes after Gentile earned PSAC West Player of the Week honors for her performance Saturday in the Scots 85-66 win over No. 11/15 Seton Hill.

Gentile had 20 points, five steals, six rebounds and six assists in the win. Gentile leads the PSAC in assists per game at 4.8 a contest, while also ranking 11th in the league in scoring at 15.1 points a game.
