STAC GIRLS' BASKETBALL: ELMIRA FALLS ON ROAD AT BINGHAMTON (2025-02-10)
Southern Tier Sports ReportBINGHAMTON — The Elmira girls went on the road and fell at Binghamton Monday night, 74-58.
“Tough game for us,” Elmira coach A’Don Allen said. “Binghamton is tough enough, but it’s a tough task with only seven kids who dress. The fight was good, but they just wore us down as the night went on.
“Down your starting point guard and center is not a good recipe against a tough, physical team like Binghamton. Kudos to coach Lewis and Binghamton for playing well tonight.”
Mariah Matias had 20 points for Elmira, all coming in the final three quarters. She had 11 points in the second quarter.
Addison Taft had 19 points, with two threes. She had nine in the fourth quarter. Ashaya Wallac had eight points, scoring five points, with a three, in the opening quarter.
Alyvia Heath had six points and Miley Baker finisehd with three points, while Zhamir Harris had two points.
