Elmira sophomore Frankie D'Angelo rolled a pair of 700 series, and Candor sophomore Emmi Makie posted a pair of double-double in two wins. They are The Sports Reports / Ziff Law Firm Regional "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Feb. 1.'

ELMIRA'S D'ANGELO NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
D'Angelo rolled a pair of 700 series, and had three games of 275 or better.

On Monday, D'Angelo shot a 735 on games of 179, 279 and 277. He followed it up Thursday with a 742 on games of 290, 247, and 205.

Honorable Mentions:
Canton's Ben Fitch (basketball), Candor's Jakobe Foster (basketball), North Penn-Mansfield's Cooper Shaw (basketball), and Athens' Ethan Hicks (swimming).

CANDOR'S MAKIE NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Makie averaged 24.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3 assists, 4.5 steals, and 1 blocked shot per game in a pair of wins.

Makie posted a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds, to go along with five assists and four steals in a 67-40 win over Newfield.

She scored 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, to go along with five steals, and two blocked shots in a 67-14 win over Campbell-Savona Saturday.
