STAC GIRLS' BASKETBALL: HORSEHEADS STARTS FAST IN WIN OVER CORNING (24 PHOTOS) (2025-02-05) Southern Tier Sports Report HORSEHEADS — The Horseheads girls’ basketball team led 36-7 at the half on their way to a 59-39 win over Corning on Wednesday night.
Emma Kamas and Maddie Ribble each had 12 points to lead Horseheads.
Leah Scott had three threes for nine points and Jordyn Gross had eight points as Horsheads moved to 11-4 on the year, 8-2 in the STAC.
Megan Wolf had seven points and Samantha Bonnell had five points, while Lexi Lese had four points and Grace Cronin had two points.
Char Starns had 26 points for Corning, 18 in the fourth quarter. She had four threes in the game, three in the final quarter, when she also went 7-for-8 from the line.
Makayla Evans had five points for Corning and Grace Kio finished with four points.
