Southern Tier Sports Report JOHNSON CITY — Alexis Collins won a STAC title as the Elmira girls finished tied for third at the STAC Championships on Friday night.
Elmira had a score of 117. Horseheads won at 144.
Collins won the 94 pound title. She had a pin of Brandilyn Beach of Horseheads in 2:53 in the title match.
Ameera Mahmood was third and Alea Hartford fourth at 100. Mahmood pinned Hartford in 3:00 in the third-place match.
Josalyn Irvin was third at 114 for the Express. She had a pin in 2:34 over Abby Sickler of Waverly in the third-place match.
Savannah Hartford was fifth at 126. She had a 10-0 technical fall win over Ambria Armes of Oneonta in the fifth-place match.
Atlantis Cherry of Elmira was fifth at 138. She won by fall in 2:30 over Tatum Kowalski of Owego in the fifth-place match.
