HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' WRESTLING: ELMIRA WRESTLERS FIND SUCCESS AT RIVER HAWK ROUND ROBIN (17 PHOTOS) (2025-01-12) Southern Tier Sports Report OWEGO — A number of Elmira wrestlers found success at the River Hawk Round Robin over the weekend.
At 101 pounds Elmira’s Dameon Barner took eighth and Dom Romeo finished ninth at 108 pounds.
Jackson Watson was eighth at 116 and Jayden Conklin finished eighth at 124.
Ayden Balmer finished eighth at 138 pounds and at 145 Tucker Burnette finished seventh. Burnette had a pin in 1:33 over Jace Vancleef of South Seneca in the seventh-place match.
Cole Swanson was seventh at 152 pounds. He won by medical forfeit in the seventh-place match.
Michael Stephenson was seventh and Caden Allen took ninth at 152B. Stephenson pinned Mutaz Younis of Vestal in the seventh-place match in 1:43. Allen won by technical fall 20-2 over Brayden Perreault of Moravia in the ninth-place match.
Landon Crouthamel was eighth and Josh Johnson was ninth, while Maurice Davis took 12th at 170. Johnson had a 12-4 major decision win over Kam Hallock in the ninth-place match.
Mason Mack of Elmira was 10th at 190.
