HIGH SCHOOL BOWLING: CORNING BOYS AND GIRLS DOWN JOHNSON CITY (2024-12-16)
Southern Tier Sports ReportJOHNSON CITY — The Corning girls swept Johnson City 5-0 on Monday, while the boys won 4-1.
For the girls Corning shot 679, 711 and 779, for a 2,169.
Kylie Downing shot 156-191-233-580 to lead Corning and Jadyn O’Dell shot 181-127-171-479. Nevaeh Pratt shot 145-157-156-458.
Chelsea Wood shot 107-120-103-330, while Zoe Harmer shot 90-116-116-322.
For the boys Corning had a season-high series of 3,248 and all five Corning bowlers broke the 600 mark.
Zach Sturdevant led the Hawks with a 692 series to earn the high series. Owen Watson shot 668, PJ Nelson shot 645, Dante White was at 623 and Bentley Goodyear shot 620.
Jeremiah Bensing was the leader for Johnson City with a 689, including the match-high single game of 268.
