HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' WRESTLING: ELMIRA TAKES SIXTH AT U-E TRADESMAN TOURNEY (19 PHOTOS) (2024-12-15)
Southern Tier Sports ReportThe Elmira girls’ wrestling team competed at the Union-Endicott Girls’ Varsity Tradesman Tournament, with five top five finishers on the day.
Elmira had a team score of 97.9, taking sixth out of 20 teams. Homer won at 171.5.
Alexis Collins took second at 94 pounds, winning 7-4 to get to the final.
At 107 pounds Ameera Mahmood was fifth and Alea Hartford was sixth. Mahmood topped Hartford by fall in 2:23 on the day.
Serenity Rollins was 16th at 120. She lost one match and had to injury default out of the tournament.
Callie Comfort was eighth at 120. She had a pair of wins on the day.
Josalyn Irvin was ninth at 120. She went 4-1 on the day, She had three tech fall wins and a pin.
Codi Lundfelt was 16th at 120.
Savannah Hartford was seventh at 126 with a 5-0 win in the seventh-place match.
Atlantis Cherry went 4-1 on the day to take third. She had four pins on the day.
Mackenna Burnette was fourth at 152. She had two wins on the day, one by fall in 16 seconds.
Emily Moldt was seventh at 152. She had two wins on the day, one a 9-8 decision.
Xoie Barr was seventh at 185 and Mackenzee Davis was fifth at 235. She had a pair of falls on the day, including one in the fifth-place match.
Izmarieah Rivers-Morgan was 12th at 235.
