TROY'S GILLILAND NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Offensively, Gilliland accounted for three of Troy's four TDs in a 25-24 win over Central Clarion.
Gilliland
rushed for 143 yard and two TDs on 25 carries. He scored on runs of 4
and 28 yards, and also had a 20-yard TD reception.
Defensively,
Gilliland harassed Central Columbia's all-state QB throughout the game.
He had six tackles, including three solo stops, as well as two
tackles-for-loss and a QB sack.

ELMIRA'S SMITH NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Smith started off her season averaging 23.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in a pair of wins at the Sibley Tournament.
She
scored 29 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in the championship game
win over Owego. She had 18 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Moravia,
which won a Class C state title last year.
