HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' BASKETBALL: HORSEHEADS FALLS TO OWEGO IN SEASON OPENER (24 PHOTOS) (2024-12-05)
Southern Tier Sports Report OWEGO — The Horseheads boys’ basketball team fell to Owego 65-53 in the opening game at the Charlie Sibley Memorial Tournament on Thursday night.
Jack Fesetch, John Durr and Keagan Zeller all had 11 points to lead Horseheads in the game. Fesetch had two threes in the game.
Mason Holloway had nine points.
Griffin Stevens had four points and Josh Stout had three, while Miles Woodhouse had two points.
Trevor Klug and Jack Starbuck each had a point for Horseheads in the game.
Horseheads led 19-14 after one quarter and 30-28 at the half, but were outscored 37-23 in the second half.
Zeller had eight points and Holloway seven in the opening quarter.
