The winter sports season is underway with 31 events on the schedule this week.

There are at least five events three times this week, including 12 on Saturday as things really get going.

Here’s a day-by-day look at what’s on the schedule each day, including how many events each day.

MONDAY (2)
* The Horseheads bowling team hosts Elmira and Corning hosts U-E.

TUESDAY (2)
* The Horseheads boys’ swimming & diving team is at Binghamton and Elmira is at Johnson City.

WEDNESDAY (6)
* The Horseheads bowling team is at Johnson City, Corning is at Vestal, Elmira hosts M-E and Edison is at Newark Valley.
* The Corning wrestling team hosts Bath and Edison hosts Lansing.

THURSDAY (5)
* The Edison boys’ basketball team hosts Chenango Forks. Elmira takes on Ithaca at the Owego Tournament and Horseheads takes on Owego.
* The Corning girls’ basketball team is at Hornell and Edison is at Union-Springs.

FRIDAY (4)
* The Horseheads wrestling team is at the Stevens Tourney and Elmira and Edison are at Newark Valley.
* The Elmira girls’ basketball team takes on Moravia at the Owego Tourney.
* The Edison bowling team is at Odessa-Montour.

SATURDAY (12)
* The Horseheads wrestling team is at the Stevens Tourney, Corning is at Avoca and Elmira and Edison are at Newark Valley.
* The Elmira bowling team is at Vestal for a tip-off tournament.
* The Elmira and Horseheads boys’ basketball teams are at the Owego Tourney and the Corning boys take on Hornell at the Wayland-Cohocton Showcase.
* The Horseheads girls’ basketball team hosts West Genesee. Elmira is at the Owego Tournament and Notre Dame plays O-M, Edison plays SVE, Horseheads plays West Genesee and Corning takes on Waverly at the Elmira College Showcase.
