Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA — The Elmira College Soaring Eagles held off the Penn College Wildcats on Wednesday night, 55-47 at Speidel Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED:The Soaring Eagles rode a strong 10-point performance from Nevaeh Winston '25 off the bench to victory. Winston also pulled down five rebounds and amassed four steals for the Purple & Gold en route to victory.
Elmira graduate Amarionah Dixon had four points and four rebounds for Elmira in the game. She was 2-for-3 from the floor in the game.
D'Asia Jones '25 and Taylor Jung '25 each finished with nine points with Jung collecting eight rebounds.
Laura Bogota '25 poured in nine points and pulled down seven boards for Elmira.
For the second game in a row, the Soaring Eagles were up big at halftime. Their 33-13 lead at the half was powered by a stingy effort in the second quarter, where they only allowed two points in the 10-minute frame.
