EIGHT-MAN FOOTBALL: EDISON'S SEASON ENDS IN PLAYOFFS (24 PHOTOS) (2024-11-10) Southern Tier Sports Report MORAVIA — A special season for the Edison football team came to an end in the Section 4, Eight-Man playoffs with a 35-0 loss to Trumansburg.
Edison was in the playoffs for the first time in 18 years.
Greg Golden ran for 18 yards in the game for Edison and Reyes McAtee ran for 13 yards. Jace Shiller had 10 yards on the ground and Drew Slaven ran for eight yards.
Slaven threw for 81 yards in the game.
Five different players caught passes for Edison.
Mason Mawhir had a 40-yard catch to lead the Edison receivers.
Shiller, Mawhir and Jaden Bennett intercepted passes for Edison and Golden recovered a fumble.
Bennett had 12 tackles and Paxton Hoover and Mawhir each had eight tackles. Shiller had six tackles, while Golden had five tackles and Reyes McAtee and Cullen Mawhir had four tackles each. ——— PHOTOS BY TERRY DAY.
