ELMIRA — The playoffs start now as the Elmira Express play host to Ithaca in the Class AA playoffs.

“I think Ithaca is an improving team,” Elmira coach Jimmy McCauley said.

Earlier this year the Express played at Ithaca. A tie game at the half broke open in the second half as Elmira won 45-14, shutting out the Little Red in the second half.

The Express know it’s about them and how they play and execute in the game.

“We must execute,” McCauley said. “On offense, defense and special teams. One play at a time mentality.

“Never get too high, never get too low.”
