SECTION 4 FOOTBALL: ELMIRA DOWNS BINGHAMTON IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE (2024-11-01)
Southern Tier Sports ReportBINGHAMTON — The Elmira football team wrapped up the regular season with a 50-0 win over Binghamton on Friday night.
“Happy for the kids,” Elmira coach Jimmy McCauley said. “They work really hard each week. They deserve it. Onto Ithaca.”
Keishaun Williams had a 33-yard touchdown for Elmira and then Marcus Brooks hauled in a 10-yard touchdown pass from Zach Conklin.
In the final two minutes of the first half after Binghamton fumbled the Express got a 14-yard touchdown from Liam Ogden.
Daeshaun Harris had a one-yard touchdown in the final seconds of the first half.
Bryan Brooks had a 17-yard touchdown run as the Express led 36-0 after three quarters.
Harris had a 36-yard scoring run early in the fourth quarter and Julius Mulligan capped the scoring late in the game.
The Express host Ithaca at 6 p.m. next Friday night in the sectional semifinals.
