SECTION 4 FOOTBALL: ELMIRA HITS THE ROAD TO TAKE ON BINGHAMTON (2024-11-01)

BINGHAMTON — After a home contest last week against the reigning state champions, the Elmira Express are back facing another Section 4 team this week as they head to Binghamton.

A week ago the Express faced defending state champion Christian Brothers Academy.

Now, it’s a road game for the Express at the Patriots.

“Binghamton is extremely athletic,” Elmira coach Jimmy McCauley said. “Fast and quick at the skill positions.”

For Elmira every game is a chance to get better.

“We look forward to each game as another opportunity to prove ourselves,” McCauley said.

The run game and turnovers are a big key each week for the Express.

“We believe in running the ball, stopping the run, and winning the turnover battle,” McCauley said.
