IAC CROSS COUNTRY: ND'S MEIER EARNS TOP 10 FINISH TO HIGHLIGHT LOCALS AT IAC CHAMPIONSHIPS (2024-10-30)

MARATHON — Notre Dame’s Gavin Meier had a top-10 finish to highlight the local runners at the IAC Championships.

Meier finished eighth in the boys race in 19:37.70.

Edison’s boys were 10th at 209 followed by Notre Dame at 227. Southern Cayuga won at 66 points.

Kaleb Podoliak of Edison was 34th in 21:44.30 and teammate Zachary Sternfels was 42nd in 22:31.90 followed by teammate Augustus Ector (22:32.40).

Notre Dame’s Robert Sharp was 49th in 22:53.70 while Carson Balash of Edison was 53rd in 23:19.60.

Cameron Kraft of Notre Dame was 57th in 23:35 and Edison’s Carter Smith was 67th in 25:11.50.

Notre Dame’s Trevor Agan was 71st in 26:04.70 while teammate Owen Neidrich was 73rd in 26:38.60 followed by Edison’s Christopher Bieniek was 74th in 26:57.10 followed by teammate Levi Utter (27:05.10).

For the girls Edison was seventh at 173. Lansing won at 38 points.

Edison’s Mayla Falank was 17th in 25:15.40 and Notre DAme’s Marta Albaladejo Tejedor was 23rd in 26:19.20.

Caitlin Keenan of Notre Dame was 28th in 27:07.10 while teammate Lylie Colunio was 31st in 27:31.50.

Olivia Vinsek of Edison was 48th in 30:43.40 while teammate Madison Palmieri was 59th in 34:28.50 followed by teammate Riley Shilling (34:46.20). Audryana Klein was 62nd in 36:38.60.

In the boys JV race Edison’s Dillan Allyn-Nobles was 11th in 28:35.80 while teammate Shawn Kelly was 18th in 32:18.20. Edison’s Jordan Elliott was 20th in 38:16.10 followed by teammate Blake Bogart in 38:16.80.
