Sectional soccer semifinals and finals highlight the week of local sports.

Overall there are 14 events on the schedule this week, including all four football teams playing on Friday, and at least four soccer finals on Saturday.

The schedule could expand for the week as Notre Dame boys and girls soccer have semifinals for sectionals this week, and wins would put them into finals on Saturday.

TUESDAY (4)
* The Notre Dame girls’ soccer team hosts Unatego in the Class C sectional semifinals.
* The Corning volleyball team is at Owego for the STAC final.
* The Horseheads and Elmira cross country teams are at the last chance invite at Oswego.
* The Corning swimming and diving team is at Ithaca.

WEDNESDAY (2)
* The Edison and Notre Dame cross country teams are at Marathon for the IAC Championships.
* The Notre Dame boys’ soccer team is at Oneonta to play Edmeston in the Class D sectional semis.

THURSDAY (0)

FRIDAY (4)
* Horseheads football hosts U-E, Corning hosts Vestal, Elmira is at Binghamton and Edison is at Allegany-Limestone.

SATURDAY (4)
* The Horseheads boys and girls soccer teams face Vestal at Waverly in a sectional final doubleheader.
* The Corning girls’ soccer team is at Ithaca in the sectional final.
* The Elmira boys’ soccer team is at Ithaca in the sectional final.
