SECTION 4 BOYS' SOCCER: KEOUGH'S GOAL LIFTS ND INTO SECTIONAL SEMIS (2024-10-26)

SOUTHPORT — The Notre Dame boys’ soccer team scored a second-half goal to edge Morris in the Section 4, Class D soccer playoffs.

A scoreless game until the final 20 minutes of the contest, the Crusaders got a goal from Matthew Keough with 17:18 left into the left side of the net to win it.

Notre Dame was the fourth seed, taking on the fifth-seeded Morris.

The Crusaders now head to Oneonta at 3 p.m. Wednesday to face top seeded Edmeston. Notre Dame is 7-5-1 on the year and Edmonton is 14-1-1.

Edmonton is ranked second in the state rankings.
