STSR PRESENTS THE DRAKE HVAC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK: HORSEHEADS CARRO AND MOSHER (2024-10-16)

There were a lot of great performances this week, leading to some tough choices for the first athlete of the week honors of the season. In the end, it was Horseheads’ Lucas Mosher and Mia Carro who were named the Southern Tier Sports Report, sponsored by Drake HVAC Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Athletes of the Week.

MIA CARRO
Horseheads, girls’ swimming
Won the 100 fly and 200 IM at the Elmira Invitational to help lead Horseheads to the team title.

Carro was also part of a second-place, and third-place relay on the day.

LUCAS MOSHER
Horseheads, football
Had 140 yards between rushing and receiving in the Blue Raiders win over Corning on Friday night.

Had three touchdowns, on just 11 touches, scoring more than one out of every four times he touched the ball.

Mosher had a receiving touchdown and two rushing touhdowns in the game.
