SECTION 4 CROSS COUNTRY: EDISON BOYS WIN NORWICH TORNADO 5000, EDISON MODIFIED GIRLS ALSO WIN (13 PHOTOS) (2024-10-15)

Southern Tier Sports Report
NORWICH — The Edison boys’ track and field team won the title at the Norwich Tornado 5000, while the Spartans also won the girls’ modified race.

For the boys Edison’s Jameson Duggan was eighth in 19:03 and Kaleb Podoliak was 14th in 20:41 followed by Zachary Sternfels in 20:43 and Augustus Ector in 20:45.

Edison’s Carter Smith was 25th in 22:43 and Carson Balash was 27th in 23:16. Dillan Allyn-Nobles was 38th in 25:26 while Christopher Bieniek was 40th in 26:10. Shawn Kelly was 42nd in 30:51 followed by Jordan Elliott in 32:39.

Edison’s Mayla Falank was 12th in the girls varsity race in 24:20 with Olivia Vinsek 21st in 27:45 followed by
teammate Madison Palmieri in 29:59. Riley Shilling was 24th in 30:35.

Olivia Welch won the modified girls race in 11:07. Emma Duggan was fifth in 11:31 and Emma Rose Deats was seventh in 12:02 followed by teammate Anna Till in 12:05. Paisley Harnas was 10th in 12:13.

Aubriella Ector was 16th in 13:34 and teammate Parker Lincoln was 23rd in 16:42.

In the modified boys race Mark Schillo was fifth in 10:29 and Grayson Margeson was ninth in 11:01. Jeremiah Hubschmitt was 14th in 11:50 and Camden Smith was 18th in 12:32. Sawyer Burleigh was 22nd in 14:51 followed by Cyrus Bidwell in 14:54.
