NEWARK VALLEY — Mackenzie Baker had a top five finish for the Horseheads girls and the Horseheads boys took third as a team at the Bob Greene Inviational at Newark Valley High School.

For the girls Owego won at 53 points. Horseheads was fifth at 176 and Corning was eighth at 218.

Baker took fourth in 20:55.7 and Elmira’s Ella Devlin was eighth in 21:53.

Elmira’s Madelyn Wise was 16th in 22:17.3 and Horseheads’ Suzanne Sydlansky was 18th in 22:35.1.

Corning’s Lorelei Strong was 41st in 24:40.5 and teammate Elsa Wood was 46th in 25:03.9 followed by Corning’s Bella Beres (25:10.5) and Horseheads’ Cecilia Cowen in 25:10.9.

Corning’s Emma Pfleger was 51st in 25:32.9 followed by teammate Marilyn York in 25:37.7. Corning’s Lauren Williams was 58th in 26:02.9 and Stella Harrison of Horseheads was 63rd in 26:24.9. Horseheads’ Cassidy Johnson was 65th in 26:27.4 followed by teammate Kayleen Woodhouse in 26:27.5.

Corning’s Jacqueline Warner was 71st in 26:44.5 followed by Erica Bancroft of Horseheads in 26:48.3 followed by Elmira’s Mariah Faucett in 26:48.6. Horseheads’ Alena Stillman was 78th in 27:34.8.

Sydney Moss of Twin Tiers Christian was 85th in 27:55.2 followed by Horseheads’ Layla Storch in 27:59.

Twin Tiers’ Kayla Heraghty was 113th in 35:15 and teammate Lyla Roman was 123rd in 40:42.1.

For the boys Horseheads was third at 83 points. Ithaca won at 41. Corning was 10th, with a group of younger runners, with a 322 and Elmira was next at 326.

Horseheads’ Nicholas Kowal was ninth in 17:33.5 followed by teammate Allen Wetmore in 17:33.9.

Gavin Hornsby of Horseheads was 14th in 17:57.9 and teammate Logan Hornsby was 22nd in 18:13. Horseheads’ Luke Dordoni was 29th in 18:48.4.

Elmira’s James Lovell was 33rd in 18:57.1 and Horseheads’ Jack Sydlansky was 37th in 19:00.3. Dominick Marino of Horseheads was 42nd in 19:15.5.

Horseheads’ Hunter Lewis was 53rd in 19:35.5. Ayden Coleman of Elmira was 59th in 19:51.2. Corning’s Preston Miller was 61st in 19:53.9.

Corning’s Dominick Davis was 70th in 20:33.1 followed by teammate Edward Witt in 20:36.4. Elmira’s Henry Mletzko was 78th in 21:14.9 and Corning’s Bjorn Suarez was 80th in 21:17.2 followed by teammate Colten Ketchum in 21:19.9.

Elmira’s Jayden Lagonegro was 97th in 22:34.5 and teammate Aaron Skinkle was 102nd in 22:44.7 followed by teammate Jaydan Roberts in 22:45. Elmira’s Romeo Cade was 10th in 22:51.9.

Elmira’s Wally Ferriter was 115th in 23:57 and Corning’s Brock Allington was 121st in 24:56.5.

Horseheads was second in the JV boys race with a team score of 41. Ithaca won at 36. Corning was sixth at 168.

Horseheads’ Joseph Juan won in 18:57.50 followed by teammate Kiran Gulati in 19:09.30.

Horseheads’ Abdel Basabakwinshi was 10th in 19:39.80 and Joshua Knapp was 13th in 19:52.80.

Horseheads’ Finn Van Buskirk was 15th in 19:55 followed by teammates Tanner Knapp (19:56.70) and Joel Scibek (20:01).

RJ Bigelow of Horseheads was 31st in 21:04.80 followed by teammate Nick Fears in 21:10.40. Horseheads’ Nolan Miller was 35th in 21:13.30.

Corning’s Calebe Keefer was 39th in 21:27.40 and Keegan Duart of Horseheads was 41st in 21:30.50.

Christian Scibek of Horseheads was 46th in 21:42.70 and Horseheads’ Dexter Bell was 53rd in 22:16.40. Horseheads’ Aaron Kaiser was 61st in 23:06 followed by Corning’s Wyatt Smith in 23:06.70.

Horseheads’ Deren Dubuque was 64th in 23:15.10 followed by teammate Nate Hall in 23:32.50. Horseheads’ Drake Ernst was 67th in 23:41.60 followed by teammate Jack Clate in 23:47. Corning’s William McConnell was 70th in 24:11.10 and teammate Benedict Hacker was 73rd in 24:23.20 followed by the Hawks’ Dwayne Gardiner in 24:26.80. Corning’s Ethan Smith was 81st in 25:28.70.

Corning’s boys dominated in the modified race, winning with a team score of 17, with Vestal next at 60. Horseheads was fourth at 138. Elmira was eighth at 234.

Corning’s Charlie Wukovitz won the race in 8:52.3 and teammate Keith Huff was third in 8:58.2 followed by the Hawks’ Andrew Miller in 8:58.9.

Corning’s Elijah Sonner was sixth in 9:06.1 followed by teammates Connor Harrington (9:06.3) and Isaac Ballard (9:15). Corning’s Ryan Madden was 11th in 9:25. Corning’s Britton Chapman was 21st in 9:59.2.

Horseheads’ Brayden Slavin was 25th in 10:14.8 and Corning’s Sylas Ruza was 30th in 10:21.3 followed by teammate Jax Adams in 10:21.9.

Horseheads’ Cruze Owens was 36th in 10:27.1 followed by Corning’s Gavin Bierwiler (10:32.2) and Horseheads’ Noah Cloke in 10:32.9. Maxwell Keegan of Corning was 40th in 10:33.1 and teammate Nathaniel Carlton was 43rd in 10:44.1. Elmira’s Aydin Butters was 45th in 10:44.9.

Horseheads’ Tanner Findley was 53rd in 10:51.4 followed by teammate Daniel Mosher in 10:51.8. Michael Christmas of Horseheads was 91st in 11:50 and teammate Mason Dispenza was 95th in 11:55.5. Horseheads’ Landon Andrews was 98th in 12:00.

Elmira’s Alexander Barletta was 100th in 12:02.3 and Horseheads’ Pierce Terwilliger was 103rd in 12:06. Elmira’s Landon Stein was 106th in 12:14.1 followed by teammate Emry Bahantka in 12:14.1 and Corning’s Ben Yang (12:15.6) and Braedyn Copp (12:18.4).

Elmira’s Adam Loftus was 118th in 12:43.3 and Corning’s Lilian Bisson was 121st in 12:50 while teammate Garret Smith was 123rd in 12:52.7. Corning’s Tristan Pratt was 138th in 13:40.6 and Horseheads’ Chase Barnstead was 142nd in 14:01.9 while Corning’s Chase Reed was 144th in 14:25.4. Corning’s Ben Stumper was 156th in 16:42.2.

Corning’s girls won the modified race at 43 points, edging Ithaca who had 45. Horseheads was fourth at 91.

Corning’s Abigail Wagner won in 9:32.1 and teammate Finley Price was third in 9:54.4 followed by Elmira’s Molly Doran (10:09.7) and Horseheads’ Hannah Sydlansky in 10:17.6. Corning’s Vanessa Topielec was 11th in 10:50 followed by Horseheads’ Aubri Houck in 10:53.3. Horseheads’ Ella Scibek was 14th in 10:54.6 followed by Corning’s Kateland Dininny in 10:58.

Corning’s Eleanor Robson was 20th in 11:25.8 and teammaet May Benway was 24th in 11:32.8. Corning’s Neha Parasuram was 30th in 11:52.4 and teammate Ammarah Kinsey was 33rd in 11:58.

Elmira’s Annalyse Ferriter was 35th in 12:05.7 and Corning’s Mia Owens was 40th in 12:12.2 while teammate Jaclyn Lee was 44th in 12:13.5. Paityn Walburn of Elmira was 50th in 12:38.4.

Horseheads’ Lillian Shope was 55th in 12:50.2 and teammate Alyeris Echevarria was 57th in 12:51.8 followed by Corning’s Vera Despain (12:52.1) and Elmira’s Mallory Duffy was 59th in 13:02.6. Corning’s Finley Bloor was 61st in 13:04.6 and teammate Julie Walmsley was 63rd in 13:15.5. Corning’s Aubrey Miller was 71st in 13:41.8.

Horseheads’ Luci Shope was 74th in 13:52.9 and teammate Layla Hoeffner was 80th in 14:12.6. Social Elmenshawy of Horseheads was 90th in 15:18.7 and teammate Ari Shopper was 109th in 19:09.6.
