STAC BOYS' SOCCER: FREELOVE NETS FOUR GOALS AS CORNING TOPS BINGHAMTON (24 PHOTOS) (2024-10-11)
Southern Tier Sports Report CORNING — Taylor Freelove had four goals as the Corning Hawks picked up a 6-0 win over Binghamton on Thursday night.
Freelove also had an assist and Landyn Proudfoot had a goal and an assist, while Grayson Timmons had a goal.
James Goodman, Alex Large and Charlie Warner all had assists in the game.
Ben Hufnagel and Isaac Anderson had saves for Corning and Elder Turkovic had 11 saves.
Corning had 17 shots and five corners and Binghamton had two shots and two corners.
“Very pleased with the ball movement tonight,” Corning coach Chad Freelove said. “The guys moved the ball back and forth looking for the openings to attack. Binghamton is vastly stronger than a year ago under coach Boyko. They made us work extremely hard to create scoring opportunities.
