SECTION 4 GOLF: FOUR LOCALS EARN TOP 10 FINISHES AT CLASS A CHAMPIONSHIPS (24 PHOTOS) (2024-10-07) Southern Tier Sports Report HORSEHEADS — The Horseheads Blue Raiders had three top 10 finishers at the Section 4, Class A Golf Championships at Soaring Eagles, while Corning also had a top-10 finisher.
Horseheads took fourth as a team at 422. Maine-Endwell and Vestal tied for the win at 397. Corning was seventh at 434, followed by Elmira at 442.
Horseheads’ Jack Fesetch, Josh Stout and Mason Holloway and Corning’s Sam Masaki all tied for eighth with rounds of 80. Blaise Brixner of Maine-Endwell won the tournament with a four-under 67.
Elmira’s Jack Cavalier was tied for 21st with an 85 along with Corning’s Dom Dinardo.
Corning’s Bryce Clark and Elmira’s Will McLane tied for 26th with rounds of 88, followed by Elmira’s Joe Mastrantonio with a round of 88.
Corning’s Ethan Ford was tied for 31st with a 90 and Elmira’s Ryan Ferrario was also tied for 31st with a 90, along with Adam Bailey of Horseheads.
Elmira’s Logan Demember, Corning’s Connor Reed and Hunter Earl of Horseheads tied for 37th with a 92. Horseheads’ Mo Cadrinale tied for 41st with a 93.
