As rivals meet on the football field, some fall sports are starting to wind down this week.

Golf sectionals kicks off the week and then the week ends with Corning against Horseheads in football and the Elmira Swimming & Diving Invite.

Overall there are 43 events this week, including 12 on Tuesday.

Here’s a day-by-day look at what’s on tap each day including how many events each day.

MONDAY (7)
* The Horseheads, Corning and Elmira golf teams play in sectionals at Soaring Eagles.
* The Horseheads tennis teeam is at Ithaca and Corning hosts Elmira.
* The Edison volleyball team is at Dryden and Corning hosts Owego.
* The Horseheads boys’ soccer team hosts Maine-Endwell and Notre Dame is at Trumansburg.

TUESDAY (12)
* The Notre Dame and Edison cros country teams are at Newark Valley.
* Horseheads hosts Elmira in tennis.
* The Horseheads swimming and diving team hosts Johnson City and Corning hosts Elmira.
* The Horseheads volleyball team hosts Johnson City.
* The Horseheads boys’ soccer team is at Ithaca and Corning hosts Elmira.
* The Edison girls’ soccer team hosts Whitney Point, while Horseheads hosts Ithaca, Elmira hosts Corning and Notre Dame hosts Trumansburg.
* The Elmira golf team hosts Binghamton.

WEDNESDAY (3)
* The Corning golf team is at Vestal.
* The Notre Dame boys’ soccer team is at Watkins Glen.
* Edison hosts Trumansburg.

THURSDAY (9)
* The Corning golf team is at Elmira.
* The Horseheads volleyball team is at Binghamton, Corning is at U-E and Elmira is at Vestal.
* The Edison girls’ soccer team hosts SVEC and Notre Dame hosts Watkins Glen.
* The Horseheads boys’ soccer team hosts Owego, Corning hosts Binghamton and Elmira hosts Seton Catholic.

FRIDAY (9)
* The Horseheads, Corning, Elmira and Notre Dame swimming and diving teams are at the diving portion of the Elmira Invite.
* Horseheads, Corning and Elmira are at the Newark Valley Invite for cross country.
* The Horseheads volleyball team is at Tioga.
* Horseheads football hosts Corning, Elmira hosts U-E and Edison is at Moravia.
* The Notre Dame girls’ soccer team is at SVEC and Corning hosts Athens.
* Corning gymnastics is at MCA.

SATURDAY (3)
* The Horseheads, Corning, Elmira and Notre DAme swimming and diving teams are at the Elmira Invite.
* The Notre Dame boys’ soccer team is at Elmira.
* Edison cross country is at Norwich.
