HORSEHEADS — The Corning volleyball went on the road and picked up a 3-1 win over Horseheads on Thursday night.

Corning won 25-13, 25-17. Horseheads won the third set 26-24, before Corning closed out the match with a 25-16 win in the fourth set.

Gracee Work had four aces, an assist, 17 kills, 11 points, a block and 15 digs and Melina Schweisinger had two aces, eight kills, seven digs and nine points.

Maddie Wood had four aces, 21 assists, a kill, a block, seven digs and 11 points.

Piper Emmick had two aces, 13 assists, a kill, eight digs and 12 points.

Horseheads got 11 kills, three digs, two aces and a block from Adrianna Calbi and Kylee Rybak had five kills and a block.

Anna Ruhmel had four kills and three digs and Meleah Kohlberger had 19 assists and three digs.

Kaelyn McCarthy had three assists, four digs and an ace and Gracie Sherman had eight digs, while Alexxa Fairchild-Johnson had five digs and two kills.

Corning won the JV match 25-13, 25-19, 25-12.

Paisley Emmick had 17 assists, five digs and 10 points, with three aces. Jillian Wood had six kills and Lauren DeRosa had 10 assists, a dig, 10 points and six aces and Char Starns had six kills.
