STAC GIRLS' TENNIS: HORSEHEADS PICKS UP VICTORY OVER ELMIRA (2024-09-18)

ELMIRA — The Horseheads girls’ tennis team picked up a 6-1 road win at Elmira on Wednesday afternoon.

In first singles Horseheads’ Kate Rought won 6-2, 6-0 over Kylie Besecker and at second singles Paige Stevens of Horseheads won 6-0, 6-0 over Mackenzi Lowman of Elmira.

Elmira’s Millie Kirst won 6-2, 7-5 over Raegan Stevens at third singles and at fourth singles Kaitlyn Soper of Horseheads won 6-4, 6-1 over Madeleine Griffin.

In first doubles Delaney Ruhmel and Amanda McLaughlin of Horseheads won 4-6, 6-0, 6-4 over Amelia Allen and Kiersity Cuesta.

In second doubles Laura Cummings and Niyati Sharma of Horseheads won 6-0, 6-3 over Hannah Reynolds and Mary Collins of Elmira.

In third doubles Horseheads’ Lydia Mackey and All Ruhmel of Horseheads won 6-1, 6-3 over Olivia Andrews and Jayden Mann.
