IAC CROSS COUNTRY: ND GIRLS GO 1-2, MEIER 2ND FOR BOYS; EDISON TEAMS EACH FINISH TOP 3 (2024-09-17)

WATKINS GLEN — Notre Dame’s girls went 1-2 and the boys had a runner-up and the Edison boys and girls each had top three finishes as teams in a meet at Watkins Glen.

For varsity boys O-M won at 32 points, while Watkins Glen was second at 59. Edison was third at 68 and Dryden was fourth at 79.

For varsity girls O-M won at 19 and Edison was second at 36.

For modified girls Edison was second at 37 points.O-M won at 29 and Watkins Glen had 59 to take third.
 
For the modified boys only Edison had a team and they won at 23 points.

For varsity girls Kaitlin Keenan of Notre Dame won at 28:36 followed by teammate Marta Albaladejo at 28:38.

Notre Dame’s Lylie Colunio was sixth at 30:31.

Edison’s Riley Shilling was 12th at 38:07 followed by teammate Madison Petrel at the same time and Olivia Vinsek at 38:14 and Alanna Davis at 38:27. Edison’s Adryanna Klein was 17th at 48:07.

For modified Edison’s Mark Schillo was the boys winner at 11:09. Grayson Margeson of Edison was fourth for the boys in 11:54. Edison’s Jeremiah Hubschmitt was seventh in 12:21 and Camden Smith was next in 12:38. Sawyer Burleigh was 11th at 16:04 and two spots later was Cyrus Bidwell in 16:29.

Emma Deats of Edison was fifth for the girls in 12:35 followed by Emma Duggan in 12:52 and Paisley Harris in 12:53, with Anna Till of Edison next at 12:54. Edison’s Olivia Welch was three spots later at 14:33 followed by teammate Aubriella Ector at 14:42. Two spots later was Eva Mirando at 14:50. Parker Lincoln finished in 17:20 followed by Maricely Sando in 17:38.

Notre Dame’s Gavin Meier was the boys runner-up in 20:16. Edison’s Kaleb Podoliak was 12th in 13:35 and Auggie Ector was 15th in 23:52. Zach Sternfels of Edison was 20th in 25:14.

Notre Dame’s Cameron Kraft was 22nd in 25:23 and Edison’s Carter Smith was 24th in 26:11. Edison’s Carson Balash was 28th in 27:05.

Edison’s Chris Bieniek was 30th in 27:17 and Notre Dame’s Trevor Egan was 32nd in 27:57. Edison’s Owen Neidrich was 34th in 29:44 followed by Levi Utter in 30:21. Edison’s Jordan Elliott finished 37th in 35:59 followed by Blake Bohart of Edison at 35:59 and teammate Shawn Kelly was 40th at 36:17.
