CROSS COUNTRY: HORSEHEADS' BAKER TAKES FIFTH TO LEAD LOCALS AT DASH IN THE DARK (24 PHOTOS) (2024-09-14)

OWEGO --- Horseheads’ Mackenzie Baker was fifth to highlight the performance by locals at the Dash in the Dark meet on Friday night.

Baker finished in 15:35.6, the exact same time as fourth-place finisher Jaelyn Chrysler of Owego.

Elmira’s Ella Devlin was ninth in 16:36.9 and Madelyn Wise of Elmira was 14th in 17:09.8. Horseheads’ Alexus Borek was 38th in 18:26.8 and teammate Suzanne Sydlansky was 40th in 18:29.

Edison’s Mayla Falank was 42nd in 18:33.5 and Horseheads’ MarliMae Oakden was 54th in 19:03.8.

Corning’s Alisyn Conway was 59th in 19:29.5 and teammate Lorelei Strong was 64th in 19:39 and teammate Anna Patton finished 69th in 19:45.2.

Corning’s Macailyn York was 73rd in 19:50.2 and teammate Emma Pfleegor was 77th in 20:07.1, while teammate Lauren Williams was 79th in 20:09.3.

Horseheads’ Erica Bancroft was 91st in 20:305. with teammate Sophia Christmas 94th in 20:45 and teammate Layla Storch was 99th in 21:03.9.

Horseheads’ Stella Harrison was 103rd in 21:10.5 followed by teammate Cassidy Johnson in 21:14.6 and Elmira’s Mariah Faucett in 21:18.2.

Horseheads’ Kahlen Woodhouse was 117th in 21:58.2 and Edison’s Olivia Vinsek was 126th in 22:42.4. Horseheads’ Alanna Stillman was 129th in 22:50.6.

Edison’s Isabella Lamb was 152nd in 25:18.0 and Horseheads’ Morgan Evans was 155th in 25:30.7 while teammate Kelsie Lewis was 160th in 25:46.8.

Edison’s Riley Shilling was 164th in 26:30.6 followed by teammate Alanna Davis in 26:31.5. Edison’s Madison Palmieri was 174th in 27:59.1 and teammate Brandalyn Bleecker was 176th in 29:05.2 and teammate Audryana Klein was 185th in 33:43.3.

Horesheas was fourth in large school at 101 points. Ithaca won at 30 points. Corning’s JV runners, running the varsity race, took fifth at 148 points. Edison was eighth in small school at 208. Northeast Bradford won at 45 points.

In large school modified Corning was second at 39 points, two behind Ithaca. Horseheads was third at 89 and Elmira was fourth at 99 points.

Corning’s Abigail Wagner was runner-up in 10:32.7 followed by teammate Finley Price (10:38.8) and Elmira’s Molly Doran (10:52.5). Corning’s Vanessa Topielec was seventh in 11:31.3 followed by Horseheads’ Hannah Sydlansky in 11:45. 3. Horseheads’ Aubri Houck was 12th in 11:55.9 followed by teammate Ell Scibek in 11:572.

Corning’s Kateland Dininny was 15th in 12:10.2 followed by teammate Lillian Bocchinfus in 12:10.5.

Elmira’s Paityn Walburn was 20th in 12:34.4 followed by Corning’s Jaclyn Lee in 12:43.3. Corning’s Neha Parasuram was 24th in 13:25.1 followed by teammate Eleanor Robson in 13:29.

Elmira’s Ampera Mahmood was 29th in 13:55.3 and Corning’s Aubrey Miller was 31st in 13:57.4.

Horseheads’ Lillian Shope was 33rd in 14:04.7 and Elmira’s Annalyse Ferriter was 37th in 14:09.7.

Elmira’s Mallory Duffy was 41st in 14:25.7 followed by Corning’s Amarah Kinsey (14:26.5) and Vera Despain (14:28.4).

Horseheads’ Adelaide Pronti was 53rd in 15:13.1 followed by teammate Layal Hoeffner (15:13.1). Corning’s Finley Bloo4 was 56th  in 15:18.5 and Horseheads’ Luci Shope was 58th in 15:20.3 and Corning’s Ava Dininny was next in 15:46.3.

Elmira’s Alaina Locker was 61st in 16:10.6 followed by Corning’s Katelyn Brayman (16:11) and Corning’s Victoria Andre was 64th in 16:19.6. Horseheads’ Ari Shopper was 74th in 21:32.4.

In the small school modified race Edison was second at 44 points. Troy won at 27 points.

Edison’s Emma Rose Deats was 11th in 12:22.4 and teammate Olivia Welch was 14th in 12:33.6. Edison’s Emma Duggan was 17th in 12:59.8 followed by teammate Anna Till in 13:00.3.

Edison’s Paisley Harnas was 21st in 13:12 and Aubriella Ector was 29th in 13:57.8. Eva Mirando was 48th in 15:38 and Parker Lincoln was 60th in 17:26.4.
