HOCKEY: ELMIRA JUNIOR ENFORCERS SIGN HORSEHEADS' CALLAHAN (2021-11-18)

Southern Tier Sports Report
The Elmira Junior Enforcers have gone local as they add to their roster.

Elmira added left-winger Ethan Callahan to the team. Callahan is from Horseheads.

Callahan has signed for the remainder of the season. He spent his time in 2020-21 playing for Holderness Prep Schoo, before starting off this season with the Seahawks Hockey Club in the EHLP.

Callahan played just seven games with the Seahawks, before signing with Elmira. Through two games with the Junior Enforcers the Horseheads native has yet to hit the scoresheet, but has shown he’s dangerous in the offensive end and thinks the game through on a high level.

“I’m just happy to be back home playing here and I hope I can help the team,” Callahan said. “From here on out we just have to take it one game at a time and I just want to give it my best shot and Good Lord willing, things will work out.”

Enforcers assistant coach/director of scouting Nick Pagliacci is happy to have Callahan.

“Cally thinks offensively very well and it’s afraid to get into the dirty areas,” he said.

Callahan and the Junior Enforcers continue the team’s three game homestead at the Murray Athletic Center with a back-to-back set against the New York Aviators this Saturday and Sunday. The puck drops at 8:05 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday’s game beings at 4:05 p.m. Get your tickets now at jrenforcers.com and save $2 off each with our early Black Friday special.
