HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' SOCCER: EDISON'S LASKO SCORES FIRST TWO GOALS IN PROGRAM HISTORY, SPARTANS FALL IN 2OT (2024-09-07)

UNION SPRINGS — The Edison girls’ soccer team scored the first two goals in program history, falling in double overtime 3-2 to Moravaia in the consolation game of the Union Springs/Port Byron Tournament.

Moravia’s Cecelia Stryker scored on a penalty kick eight minutes into the game and the 1-0 score held until half-time.

In the 51st minute Hannah Lasko scored the first goal in Edison girls’ soccer history to tie the game.

Ten minutes later Stryker scored her second for Moravia, but Lasko answers back in the 73rd minute to tie the sore at two.

The game stayed tie through the first overtime, but with 23 seconds left in the second overtime Emma Colvin found the back of the net to give Moravia the win.

Aurora Parlo was awarded the all-tournament player award for Edison.

Edison’s next game is Tuesday as they travel to SVEC.
