HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' GOLF: MASAKI EARNS MEDALIST HONORS FOR CORNING, HORSEHEADS WINS MATCH (2024-09-07)

CORNING — Corning’s Sam Masaki earned medalist honors, but three Horseheads players shot rounds of 41 as the Blue Raiders beat Corning 210-223 at Corning Country Club on Friday.

Jack Fesetch, Josh Stout and Adam Bailey all shot rounds of 41 for Horseheads. Mason Holloway shot 43 and Hunter Earl shot a 44. Seamus Lynch also shot a 44.

Sam Masaki of Corning earned medalist honors with a 39 and Connor Reed shot 44 and Ethan Ford had a 46. Dom Dinardo and Bryce Clark both had rounds of 47 for Corning. Caden Barrett had a 48 for the Hawks.

Extra golfers for Horseheads included Carson Bell and Mo Cardinale with rounds of 42 and Braden Sternquist with a 43. Chase Mashanic and Joey Can each shot a 48 and Zach Ballard shot a 52.

Carter Smithmen had a 40 and Dom Weed shot a 42 for Corning. Ethan Yarnell shot a 48, Evan Riley had a 55 and Kohl Hogue shot a 60.
