70 TEAMS IN THE FIELD AS FALCONS FOR THE CURE GETS INTO FULL SWING (24 PHOTOS) (2024-08-03) Southern Tier Sports Report HORSEHEADS — The Falcons for a Cure Baseball Tournament got into full swing on Saturday with a busy day of games in seven different age groups.
There were around 70 teams from 8u-14u and the tournament started Friday and runs through Sunday.
A majority of the games have been at Holding Point, but other fields in Horseheads, along with fields in Watkins Glen, Big Flats Little League Fields and Chapel Park fields are also in use.
There are local teams, including the host Falcons, the Senecas, Corning Elite and Elmira Elite, and there are teams from Pennsylvania and then teams from across New York, with teams from the Buffalo, Syracuse and Rochester area. ——— PHOTOS BY BRIAN FEES
