ATHENS — The Corning boys’ basketball team won the title at the Waverly boys’ basketball summer league on Wednesday night.

Corning won 67-42 over Athens in the quarterfinals and 54-43 over host Wavelry in games played at Athens High School this year due to renovations at Waverly.

In the final Corning topped Elmira 52-47.
