PLAY BEGINS IN EBL OVER 25 SUMMER LEAGUE (24 PHOTOS) (2024-07-19) Southern Tier Sports Report ELMIRA — Play began recently in the EBL Over 25 Summer League at the Empire Sports of the Southern Tier complex.
In week one, sponosred by R Trucking LLC and Valicenti Advisory Services there were three games on the day.
The Takers picked up a 157-68 win over the Winnas.
Former Horseheads standout Foster Clark led the Takers with 52 points and he had 22 rebounds. Ryan McFall had nine assists.
Jay Bromley, a former NFL player who played four seasons for the New York Giants, had 22 rebounds for the Takers.
Metro City won 103-88 over Valley Vengeance.
David Ford and former Notre Dame player Demetrius Stanley each had 31 points in the game. Former Notre Dame standout Kyreese Fisher had 20 rebounds and eight assists for Metro City.
KBC Barbershop won 112-111 over EZ Win. Ryan Ross had 71 points and 22 rebounds and Jonathan Culpepper had 10 assists.
Foster was the player of the week. He had 52 points and 22 boards and was 15-of-23 from three-point range in his EBL debut, helping the Takers to an 89-point win. Foster did all this in only 35 minutes of game action.
