LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL: CPPLL 11U INTO CHAMPIONSHIP GAME AFTER BACK-TO-BACK WINS (2024-07-13)

WATERLOO — The Corning-Painted Post 11u all-star team won back-to-back games on Saturday to get into the Section 1 East Championship game.

After falling to Cicero 11-7 on Friday CPPLL won 15-1 over Auburn and 11-3 over Union-Endicott to get into the title game.

The title game is 11 a.m. on Sunday in Waterloo. If CPPLL wins they would play again at 6 p.m. for the title. CPP has to win twice to take the title, while Cicero needs one win.

Against Cicero it was a 6-2 lead for Corning-Painted Post after three, but Cicero scored two in the fourth snd seven in the fifth to win.

Maddox Adriance had two hits and an RBI and Brodie O’Dell and Braylon Morse each had hits.

Against Auburn the CPPLL team got a combined one hitter from Cohen Windows, Rowan Sherlock and Morse, who combined to strike out eight.

Ryder Flint had a double, three RBI and two runs scored and Logan Rodrick, Adriance, O’Dell, Cohen Windows, Seth Gill and Sakari Rodrick all had hits in the game.

In the game against U-E CPPLL got 5 1/3 innings from Adriance, with seven strikeouts, allowing five hits. Logan Rorick got two outs, one by strikeout, not allowing a hit or a run.

Morse had a triple, three RBI and two runs scored and Cohen Windows had two hits and scored two runs. One of his hits was a double.

Olivier Clip, Logan Rorick Kellen Madden and Flint all had hits in the game.
