HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: YEARICK STAYS HOT, HITS HR AS HORSEHEADS TOPS JC (2024-05-10)
Southern Tier Sports ReportJOHNSON CITY — Caitlin Yearick stayed hot and the Horseheads softball team beat Johnson City 11-4 on Thursday.
Yearick was 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles two RBI and three runs scored.
Over the past two weeks Yearick is now 14-of-26 with four home runs, three doubles, a triple, eight runs scored and 13 RBI.
Megan Wolf was also 3-for-5, with a triple two RBI and a run scored.
Raegan Burge had two doubles, an RBI and a run scored.
Chloe Perritt had two hits, an RBI and a run scored, with a double, and Kailey McCormick had two hits and scored two runs.
Sophia Bonnell, Olivia French, Aubrey Howe, Maddie Ribble and Mya Piechu all had hits for Horseheads. French and Bonnell each had an RBI and a run scored, Ribble had two RBI and Piechu scored a run.
Perritt worked two innings, striking out four and Wolf worked five innings, striking out 12 and allowing just one hit and one run.
