HORSEHEADS — A two-run home run by Megan Wolf was the difference as Horseheads celebrated senior night with a 2-1 win over Elmira.

Elmira got on the board in the top of the fifth to take a 1-0 lead as Maddy Cavalier hit a ground ball that scored Ryleigh Ogden.

In the bottom half of the inning Maddie Ribble was hit by a pitch and Wolf followed with a two-run shot over the right field fence to give Horseheads the 2-1 lead.

Wolf also threw a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts for Horseheads in the game.

Along with the Wolf home run the Blue Raiders got hits from Sophia Bonnell, Caitlin Yearick and Chloe Perritt.

Lily Cornacchio had the Elmira hit in the game.

Marley Devlin worked five innings for Elmira, allowing four hits and two runs, striking out three and Ava Cornacchio threw a hitless inning with three strikeouts.
