Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — An early deficit was too much to overcome as the Corning softball team fell to Union-Endicott 7-1 on Tuesday.
U-E scored six runs in the first three innings of the game.
Tigers pitcher Taylor McManus threw a three-hitter, striking out eight.
Corning’s Peyton Sullivan threw one inning and Matti Johnston struck out five in six innings.
Sophia Polzella had a double and scored the Corning run and Johnston and Sullivan had hits.
