COLLEGE BASEBALL: HORSEHEADS GRAD PROCOPIO EARNS PRESIDENT'S CUP AWARD AT SUNY NIAGARA (2024-05-07)

Horseheads graduate Matthew Procopio won the President’s Cup Award at SUNY Niagara.

The President’s Cup is the most distinguished award in SUNY Niagara intercollegiate athletics and is presented to a student who excels both on the field and in the classroom.

Procopio’s achievements include:
* Leading the SUNY Niagara Thunderwolves to a National Ranking, a Region III Championship and a berth in the NJCAA Division III World Series.
* Selected as second-team All-Region and All-Conference last spring.
* Earned All-Tournament honors at both the NJCAA World Series and Region III Championships.
* Chosen as Academic All-Region and All-Conference
* Holding a 3.82 GPA and will graduate this weekend.

Procopio will attend Renore Ryne in the fall to further his baseball and academic career.
