COLLEGE SOFTBALL: CORNING GRAD BENNETT GETS 600TH CAREER STRIKEOUT, LOCALS WRAP UP SEASON WITH LEMOYNE (2024-05-05)

Corning graduate Laura Bennett recorded her 600th career strikeout for the LeMoyne softball team during Friday’s game against LIU.

When that day was through Bennett had 603 strikeouts in 594 2/3 innings. Bennett got six more strikeouts the next day to reach 609 strikeouts for her career.

IN her career Bennett is 47-47 with 15 shutouts, 63 complete games, eight saves and the 609 strikeouts.

This year she has 153 strikeouts in 191 2/3 innings and has a 4.24 ERA.

Horseheads graduate Molly Wolf was 1-for-5 this year. She drew two walks on the year and scored nine runs.

LeMoyne had 17 wins this year including a pair of wins including two wins over Stonehill College this week.
