HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: HORSEHEADS NOTCHES WIN OVER U-E AS HOLLOWAY DOMINATES ON THE MOUND (19 PHOTOS) (2024-04-26)

HORSEHEADS — The Horseheads baseball team picked up a 6-3 win over Union-Endicott in a STAC matchup.

Mason Holloway went five innings, striking out 13 and allowing five hits and one run in the game. Keagan Monahan went an inning, allowing one hit and one run, striking out one. Micah Hays struck out two and allowed an unearned run on one hit in one innings.

Horseheads led 2-0 after the first inning and went up 3-0 in the third. U-E got within 3-1 in the fifth, but Horseheads scored two in the bottom of the fifth to lead 5-1.

U-E got within 5-2 in the top of the sixth, but Horseheads scored in the bottom half of the inning to cap their scoring. The Tigers got a run in the seventh.

Dom Russ had two hits, with a double, three runs scored and a stolen base and Holloway had two hits, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base.

Hays had a double, an RBI and a run scored and Josh Stout had two hits, an RBI and a stolen base.

Zac Giammichele had a hit and scored a run and Monahan had an RBI.

Devin Sullivan stole a base in the game.
