CORNING — James Freeman scored the overtime game winner as the Corning Hawks avenged an earlier season loss with a 9-8 win over Elmira.

In overtime Brenden Jardin-Reed came up big with the face-off win and Freeman scored off a Dom Dinardo assist.

Dinardo had two goals and two assists in the game and Kohl Hogue had a goal and two assists, while Freeman had two goals.

Joe Fucito had a goal and an assist and Clayton Smith and Tully Fratarcangelo each had goals, while Gavyn Hogue had an assist.

Brody  Wolfe won 12-of-19 face-offs for Corning and Ian Harpster had 12 saves in goal.

Evan Garvin had four goals for Elmira and Kaiden Green had two goals. Landon Cook and Cooper Taft each had goals for the Express.

Sam Brenen-Buseck finished with 11 saves for Elmira.
