ELMIRA HEIGHTS — Gabby Milazzo picked up her 300th career strikeout and the Edison softball team moved to 8-1 on the year with a 14-0 win over Whitney Point.

Milazzo reached the milestone in the third inning and she had eight strikeouts in three innings, allowing one hit. Kailey Ripley worked two perfect innings with five strikeouts.

Charlee Stroman had a 3-for-3 day with two RBI and three runs scored. Kailey Ripley had two hits, with a double, two RBI and a run scored and Brianna Korsky had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored.

Aurora Parlo had a double and scored two runs and Mariana Jones-Frosolone had a double, two RBI and a run scored.

Carissa Cowan, Maycie Bennett and Emily Aiello had hits in the game.

Cowan had two RBI, Bennett scored two runs and Aiello had an RBI and a run scored.

Emma Maggs scored two runs for Edison.
