HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS: HORSEHEADS WINS IN FIRST DOUBLES, BUT FALLS TO ITHACA (2024-04-24)

HORSEHEADS — The Blue Raiders got a win in first doubles, but fell to Ithaca on Tuesday afternoon.

In first doubles Jacob Staats and Abdullah Javed won 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 over Orion Patie and Luke Hwang.

In first singles Aiden Xie of Ithaca won 6-2, 6-2 over Zachery Kathan. At second singles Jonah Jacobstein of Ithaca won 6-1, 6-1 over Ryan Burns.

Kieran Shulman of Ithaca won 7-5, 6-3 over Dominic Wood at third singles and Eh Lay Htoo won 7-5, 6-3 over Hayden Chatlani at fourth singles.

In second doubles Owen Cryer and Aaron Martinez of Ithaca won 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-1) over Camden Larrabee and Joseph Juan.

In third doubles Mateo Gonzales and Theo Greenwald-Schaye won 6-1, 6-2 over Mark Mendez and Lincoln Choe.
