MYRTLE BEACH, SC — The Notre Dame baseball team went on the road and fell to Phoenix in a game in Myrtle Beach, 8-2.

Notre Dame fell behind 3-0, before scoring a run in the fourth. Phoenix got three in the fifth and two in the sixth to pull away.

Alex Daugherty had a home run, with two hits, an RBI and a run scored, and Jahmeire Keyser had two hits in the game.

Jahmez Boyd and Brenden O’Brien had hits in the game for the Crusaders.

Luke Richards went five innings, striking out six and O’Brien worked an inning.
