WHITNEY POINT — For the second straight night the Notre Dame boys’ lacrosse team won a hard-fought one-goal game.

“A duplicate of last night,” Notre Dame coach Geoff Crossley said. “Another full team effort to secure the win.

“We jumped out to a 6-0 lead but with only two subs we got tired and let a good Whitney Point team back in it in the last two quarters.”

It’s a second straight game where the team worked to pull out a win.

“I am very proud of how this team once again dug deep down and was able to pull out another win. They had plenty of chances to give up, but they hung together and fought till the last second.

“With a team effort like this I don’t believe stats matter. What matters is this team performed like a team and each player contributed to the win.”
