HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' LACROSSE: GREEN NETS GAME WINNER AS ELMIRA WINS WILD 17-16 GAME OVER M-E (2024-04-22)

ELMIRA — The Elmira Express boys’ lacrosse team won a 17-16 game over Maine-Endwell on Monday night.

Elmira was up by eight goals in the third period and Maine-Endwell came back and tied the game in the fourth.

Kaiden Green scored the game winner with 1.4 seconds left on the clock.

Landon Cook had five goals and Cooper Taft finished with four goals and an assist, and he won 13 face-offs.

Ryan Stukey and Braydon Sincock each had three goals and two assists in the game.

Green had two goals and two assists and Sam Brenen-Buseck finished with 18 saves in goal.

Tyler Mathews had six goals and four assists for Maine-Andwell and Sam Stanton had three goals.

Zack Battaglini and Lucas Chancre each had two goals for the Spartans and Mark Winchell, Landon Rollo and Grace Finigan all had goals.

Riley Porter had 12 saves for the Spartans.

“An amazing job by the Maine-Endwell kids and coaches,” Elmira coach Jason Stukey said. “They battled hard and never quit. Good luck to them moving forward.”
